With Thursday seeing the release of the coming 2019/20 Championship fixtures, there’s no denying it’s more of a tough start for Queens Park Rangers than we’d have liked.
November looks particularly tough to me, but otherwise it seems much of a muchness is the way the fixtures are spaced out and in my humble at least, we could’ve been given a more difficult block of matches to navigate.
With fans naturally seeing different things in a fixture list based on their own assessments and assumptions of the quality, or lack thereof, of opposition sides, reaction on social media to the release was pretty interesting I thought.
Some focused on the fact we were away for the opener, Boxing Day and the closer to the campaign, and others felt there was something fishy in the fact that we were predominantly away from Loftus Road as the season draws to an end.
Ultimately, you have to play everybody twice and as a first step under new manager Mark Warburton, QPR will be hoping to be safe long before the month of April arrives in any event.
A few were even wildly optimistic!
Yeh it could have been a bit more exciting than Stoke away but all the same roll on August 3rd NEED the football back.

Looks a hard League this season but can’t wait for it to start!
Harsh run in with that amount of away games thrown in there, especially when we start away also!
Sad that good away days at Birmingham & Charlton are mid week, the fun police have stolen those then!— James Privett (@james_privett10) June 20, 2019

Away on first and last games? Surely that’s not right? And only 2 home games in our last 7? Think the R’s have been fitted up
