“R’s Have Been Fitted Up” “Lifting The Trophy” – These QPR Fans Have Fixture Thoughts

|

With Thursday seeing the release of the coming 2019/20 Championship fixtures, there’s no denying it’s more of a tough start for Queens Park Rangers than we’d have liked.

November looks particularly tough to me, but otherwise it seems much of a muchness is the way the fixtures are spaced out and in my humble at least, we could’ve been given a more difficult block of matches to navigate.

With fans naturally seeing different things in a fixture list based on their own assessments and assumptions of the quality, or lack thereof, of opposition sides, reaction on social media to the release was pretty interesting I thought.

Some focused on the fact we were away for the opener, Boxing Day and the closer to the campaign, and others felt there was something fishy in the fact that we were predominantly away from Loftus Road as the season draws to an end.

Ultimately, you have to play everybody twice and as a first step under new manager Mark Warburton, QPR will be hoping to be safe long before the month of April arrives in any event.

A few were even wildly optimistic!
