With the summer transfer window opening a few weeks back, Queens Park Rangers fans probably knew that at some point the speculation about the future of midfielder Luke Freeman would again begin, and reports over the weekend kickstarted that process by linking him with a move to newly promoted Premier League side Sheffield United.
The Sun have apparently claimed that manager Chris Wilder has made our 27-year-old one of his top targets this summer but their pathetic valuation of him is only a paltry £4million.
With Freeman signing up until 2021 last November from memory as he penned a contract extension, I know transfer dealings are supposed to be a negotiation and most sides will always go in with a lower valuation than they are prepared to play, but I’m not sure you are meant to go in with a deal that would leave a players employers giggling hysterically at your opening suggestion.
I can only assume in true Sun fashion this is a completely invented claim that bears no resemblance to any possible truth.
I’m not the only one that feels that way.
8 million no less

Turned down more last summer, he's since singed a new deal and had another good season.
Unless he has a clause in his contract £4m is nowhere near enough, would expect even our useless owners and dof to ask for double but probably accept £6m + add ons.

Assume this is a starting point. At least £7 million. Best player in the Championship by a mile.
