Lots of QPR fans have had their say on Twitter after it was announced that Josh Scowen has departed the club to join Sunderland.
The 26-year-old joined the club after signing for Barnsley in the summer of 2017, and has gone onto make 103 appearances for the club, scoring four times and assisting as many.
Being a regular in his early stages at a Rangers player, he has tailed off since Mark Warburton has taken the rein, opening the window of opportunity for Sunderland to swoop in. Despite making many appearances for the first-team earlier in this season, he has only featured twice in last eight league games for the club.
Do you think Josh Scowen should've been allowed to leave?
Yes, he wasn't good enough
Only if another player is brought in
Nope, we needed him within the squad
It didn’t end on an entirely bad note despite his lack of football. In fact, Scowen scored an absolute rocket in the club’s 5-1 win over Swansea in the third round of the FA Cup.
After the news was announced on Twitter, plenty of fans responded thanking the player for his dedication over the years and wished him well for the future.
Here are some of the replies below…
All the best, Scowen. Was absolutely brilliant in his 1st season with us and a bit unlucky not to be able to hold down a place since. Never hid and always have 100% – good luck at Sunderland, great signing for them!

With QPR losing Nakhi Wells and Scowen within a week, the club will be hoping that this money can be reinvested within the squad.
In fact, the club’s CEO Lee Hoos admitted upon Wells’ departure that the club were interested in signing him, but restrictions from FFP might well hold them back. Whether there is enough money in this deal to make a difference is unknown, however, it should help contribute to the next signing.
