Well, now we now the kind of job we have on our hands after losing our top scorer.
Although it wasn’t really the future that QPR fans were talking about in the aftermath of the game, instead they found themselves talking about the past, more specifically to the FA Cup game on Friday night.
QPR boss Mark Warburton played a less than full strength side against Sheffield Wednesday on Friday, as a way of resting players for the game tonight, well it appears as though his plan backfired, because not only did we lose that game, but we also fell 2-1 to Blackburn Rovers last night.
And it’s the decision when it came to team selection that was what most riled up the fans in the aftermath of the loss in Lancashire, having seen a great opportunity wasted to progress in the cup all for the sake of losing yet again in the league, meaning he may as well have gone for a full-strength side against the Owls.
So glad we didn’t play our first team Friday so they was rested and guess what we still lost anyway Warburton has taken us for a ride the past 2 games no respect for us what so ever

so glad we rested in the FA cup
honestly having serious doubts about Warburton. Yes, most of our losses are coming from just woeful defensive mistakes and can’t shift all the blame on the manager there. But we just got outclased by Blakburn. woeful in terms of transfers as well

More reason to play a full strength team last Friday

What a shock. QPR rests the first teamers and meekly surrender in the Cup so that the first teamers are fresh and ready to get spanked in the league a few days later. SAME THING EVERY SINGLE SEASON.

Resting all those players for the cup game worked . Absolutely nothing to look forward to now this season .

Great decision to rest the team on Friday for a great result this evening

In hindsight, did Warburton make the wrong decision on Friday night?
Yes
No
Admittedly this is a case of ‘hindsight being 20-20’, but when you look back at it, it does feel like a huge opportunity missed.
