QPR’s season once again showed signs of playing out with little more than a whimper on Wednesday night, as Mark Warburton’s side lost 1-0 away at administration-haunted Wigan Athletic.
Kieffer Moore’s goal just over half an hour into the game was enough to secure all three points for the Latics, and leave Rangers reflecting on yet another defeat.
It’s now just one win from five since the season restarted for QPR, with four defeats in that time leaving them 14th in the Championship table, 11 points adrift of the play-offs places, and eight clear of the relegation zone with just four games of the season remaining.
As a result, there seems to little left for Rangers to play for this season, and it now appears there is a belief among the fans that that sense that the campaign is already over is starting to spread to the players, most notably Ebere Eze.
Should QPR continue to play Ebere Eze for the rest of the season?YesNo |
There can be no doubt that Eze has enjoyed another outstanding season for QPR, but taking to Twitter following a lacklustre performance at the DW Stadium, some fans suggested that the speculation of a potential move elsewhere for Eze in the summer is starting to become something of a distraction for the 22-year-old as the current campaign comes to its conclusion.
Here, we take a look at what some of those Rangers fans had to say about Eze’s performance at Wigan.

Bright and (we)Eze playing not to get hurt ahead of inevitable moves. Maybe take them off and get others hungrier on… #QPR

Same as I said after the Boro win , we have no oooompf in the final thrird , the other thing that pees me off is we never look like creating anything from a set piece , absolute shite again , has Eze even touched the ball post season restart ?
Only plus Lumley did well #QPR— . (@H1TTHEROADJACK) July 8, 2020
Really like the way Wigan attack. They know what to do in key areas unlike us, with so many misplaced passes. Need Eze to wake up. Not been himself since lockdown #qpr

Shape all wrong . Eze & Chair not imposing themselves. Very poor so far. Lumley & Kakay keeping us in the game . #QPR

Hurts to say but Eze, Bright haven’t been good enough in any restart games. Chair has been, but not today.
