With QPR spending the last week or so asking fans for their opinions for their team of the decade, they have finally reached a conclusion with the strikers.
Each day the club has been asking their supporters for who they would ideally have in each position and yesterday that came to a conclusion.
Two strikers are needed to complete the Team of the Decade, with the rest of the team still yet to be officially announced.
There was a pretty mixed response from the Rangers fan base, though there were three standout candidates – so it will be interesting to see who gets the nod.
Is Adel Taarabt the best player of the decade?
Yes
No
Heidar Helguson, Charlie Austin and Bobby Zamora were the three names who cropped up more than anyone else.
Helguson, who of course lead the line in their Championship winning season, managed to score 28 goals in 80 for the club. Austin was able to score more than that, with 47 in 89 games for the club. And, finally, Bobby Zamora managed 14 in 92.

Has to be Charlie Austin and Sir Les. Anyone who disagrees can meet me round the back of R Block for a punch up the bracket!

I put taarabt lw so upfront for me as much as bobby Zamora is a hero for his goal. I’m going charlie and helguson. Helguson for me overall was better than zamora

It’s been an up and down decade for the club. Two promotions and two relegations have meant it has been pretty action-packed, however, the last few years have looked a bit less exciting as a midtable Championship side.
Now we wait to see comfirmation of the results…
