This midweek’s Championship action didn’t really give Queens Park Rangers fans much to shout about as we fell to defeat on Wednesday evening in the Loftus Road clash with Rotherham United, however, Tuesday’s action did for those keeping one eye on Stevenage.
We fell behind twice to suffer a 2-1 defeat and late goals were again our undoing, but young talent Ilias Chair had a far better night.
Having headed out to the Lamex Stadium at the end of January, he now has seven starting appearances to his name, with a return of three goals. His third came in midweek as the 21-year-old scored in stoppage-time to secure them a 2-0 victory against Swindon Town.
His effort was rather spectacular as well, as having won the ball back from them as they looked for a leveller, he lobbed their goalkeeper from his own half

Ilias Chair is scoring some belters for Stevenage. Hoping he gets some more game time next season and Paul Smyth causing issues for defences and scoring for Accrington. Possible younger team next year? #QPR @qprfc https://t.co/PDHT0U8EEb
