Well, Wednesday became the day that all Queens Park Rangers fans got the news none of us wanted to hear but, being honest, probably expected about midfielder Luke Freeman.
The 27-year-old QPR star had long had his future brought into question as we batted back offers from Middlesbrough last season with former manager Steve McClaren making no secret about the fact he felt he was more than suited to make an impact in the Premier League, Freeman now gets that chance with Sheffield United.
👋 Farewell Freezy.
Luke Freeman has left #QPR to join Sheffield United in the @premierleague.

United had featured on the rumour mill previously with talk of a low ball £4million offer but QPR have simply stated he has left for an ‘undisclosed fee’ but everyone will be hoping we got at least a deal worth around the £5/6million marker given the current market.
After two and a half years at Loftus Road, Freeman departs having more than played his part in 112 games, scoring 15 times and helping to create plenty of others.
Not the news anyone wanted really, but good luck to him in the top flight and he deserves the chance. The Blades better take care of him!
Rarely has a QPR player deserved a move like this more than Luke Freeman. c500k, he was the best player in any position he was deployed and matched unbelievable skill with a relentless work rate. He is the epitome of what players with the right attitude can achieve at our club. pic.twitter.com/uxAmDhwJK4

Gutted but deserves the move at his age. Bought for £300k sold for around £5m, much needed cash to balance books. Wonder how much Bristol city get from Sell on clause.
