QPR Agree Four Year Deal – “Signed A Real Quality Keeper”

|

Following on from the speculation linking Queens Park Rangers with a raid for Livingston goalkeeper Liam Kelly, he becomes another former Rangers player to arrive at Loftus Road on Friday.

With it believed that the 23-year-old was available for a snip fee, manager Mark Warburton has again tapped into his Scottish knowledge to bring him into the club this summer and we have secured the talent to a four year contract.

Speaking to the Official Site as his signing was confirmed, Kelly said.

“I felt now was the right time for me to try something new and QPR gave me that opportunity. Knowing the manager and how his teams play, it was something I couldn’t say no to. How the gaffer conducts himself is brilliant and that was a really attractive part of the move. QPR is a well-known club all over the world and that attraction was massive. Hopefully I can have a positive impact and help the club do well.”

With Kelly coming in officially now the speculation linking Matt Ingram with a departure gains weight, as you would expect Joe Lumley to challenge Kelly for the No 1 spot moving forward.

With Queens Park Rangers fans quick to welcome him to the club when the announcement was made, we again saw a number of Rangers fans chip in with their thoughts and again, it seems we have signed a pretty solid player here.
