“An Exciting Time” “Have Signed A Legend” – QPR Appear To Have Signed A Gem

|

Following the growing speculation this last week that Queens Park Rangers had secured a deal for former Rangers left back and skipper Lee Wallace, the club officially confirmed his arrival on Friday.

The 31-year-old makes the switch to Loftus Road after eight years at Ibrox and Wallace admitted that the chance to work with manager Mark Warburton again was definitely a plus point as he made his decision.

Speaking to the Official Site after penning his new two year deal with us, Wallace was certainly saying the right things.

“I am delighted to be here and really looking forward to the challenge ahead. This is an exciting time to play for a top football club. The main thing that stands out about the manager here is the man he is, the quality of person. The impact he has made on me, both on and off the pitch, has been terrific and that made the decision to come here a lot easier. I know I am coming to a great club to work with a top man and a top manager.”

With his spell at Rangers being more difficult in recent season after some off pitch issues, it certainly seems like he’ll be well missed at his former club and that should bode well for us you’d have thought as plenty of fans had words of praise for him, and obviously QPR fans were happy to welcome him to the club.
