Clint Hill has once again proven himself a worthy performer for Queens Park Rangers. Written off by many, Hill would accept his limitations at the top level but has certainly gone a long way to proving his doubters wrong and being named Player of the Season.

Barring a couple of horror moments – indeed he stated he sees Luis Suarez in his nightmares – but by and large he was the most consistent performer in a side that continually crumbled under heavy pressure.

He was partnered by Ryan Nelsen, then latterly Christopher Samba, but despite his best efforts was unable to keep Rangers in the top flight. He could still be a valuable asset in the Championship, whether it will be as a first teamer or squad player.
