Queens Park Rangers youngster Joe Oastler has gone down with an illness which is believed to be Swine Flu.

The young defender is currently on loan at Salisbury City where he has plied his trade predominantly in a holding role as the Whites look to stave off relegation woes.

He has now been isolated from the squad and fellow loanee Lee Brown as the emergency doctors try to determine his condition.

Manager Tommy Widdrington told the BBC: ‘He’s really poorly – to the point where he’s had to have an emergency doctor called out to him.’

He is suspended for the FA Cup clash against Accrington Stanley after the Whites overcame Farnborough in a replay, but Oastler may be out of action for a few more weeks as his condition is assessed.
