‘Future captain’, ‘Give him the armband’ – Many QPR fans show love for ‘baller’ after quotes

With Rangers facing Nottingham Forest tomorrow, defender Dominic Ball said some words pre-match – and it has encouraged many fans to send in their positive messages.

The 24-year-old is currently enduring his first season at the club, but it has not taken long for fans to consider him as a favourite, with many suggesting he has what it takes to be the club captain.

As you can read from the attached tweet below, the former Spurs youth player believes that they have the quality to go to high-flying Forest and get the result they want.

Playing as a defensive midfielder for the majority of the season, he struggled to find consistent game time at the beginning of the campaign, but since the start of the new year, he has looked like a first choice for Mark Warburton.

Is Dominic Ball captain material?

Yes

No

In his last nine games, he has started seven of them – and looking at the responses below, it seems like fans are more than happy with him.

Out of the entire squad, nobody averages more tackles per game than the midfielder – 2.3 – and he also contributes a decent 1.1 clearances per match, as well as 0.8 tackles, as per WhoScored.

If QPR are to get something from the City Ground on the weekend, a good performance will be needed by him in the middle of the park.
