DJ CAMPBELL will feature in some upcoming games for QPR, despite speculation he could be leaving the club soon.
Manager Harry Redknapp has given his word to give Campbell an opportunity – potentially as early as tomorrow against West Bromwich Albion.
He told the assembled media: ‘I’ve had lots of interest in DJ Campbell. He went out on loan at Ipswich and did great, they loved him,’
‘He played against us for Blackpool when I was at Tottenham and I thought he was a real handful.
‘He’s back and available this weekend and I’m looking forward to getting him involved. I’ve always liked him as a player.’
Ten goals in 17 appearances for Ipswich Town this season has made him a hot prospect for sides in the Championship – but he’ll have a few games at least to impress Harry sufficiently to make the 25-man squad.
Commonly regarded as one of Mark Hughes’ biggest mistakes – Campbell was left out of the squad in August, instead preferring players such as Hogan Ephraim in an already competitive midfield department.
