Bob Malcolm Suspended

On loan Rangers defender / midfielder Bob Malcolm has been suspended following a suspected drink driving offence.

The 27-year-old, who is currently on loan with QPR until January 1, has been bailed to appear before Chesterfield Magistrates Court on January 16.

Malcolm was charged with the said offence following an alleged incident on the M1 motorway in Derbyshire on Thursday morning.

Sadly, the offence is absolute therefore, unless there is an issue with the Police breathalysing equipment the Glaswegian on first offence can expect a 12-month driving ban plus a heavy fine.

Both Derby County and Queens Park Rangers are refusing to make any comment until the outcome of the court hearing.
