Lots of QPR fans have discussed on Twitter whether or not they should be targetting Lawrence Shankland during this window.
With Nakhi Wells’ future unclear, it seems as if that his future is probably what will determine whether or not the club make a move for him, as there isn’t much of a need to replace your top goalscorer.
Reports form Bristol Live suggest that Bristol City are knocking at the door of Burnley attempting to get a permanent deal for the Bermudian forward over the line. This would clearly leave a big void in the attack and a replacement would want to be sourced.
That’s where Lawrence Shankland comes in; the Scotsman has bagged 25 times in 25 games this season, as well as 34 in 41 last season, taking his tally to 59 goals over the past season and a half.
Who would you rather on a permanent deal?
Lawrence Shankland
Nakhi Wells
QPR have been linked to the striker throughout the window, and now a fan account in @QPRHQ is asking R’s supporters whether or not they would like to see him signed this window.
There was a pretty mixed response from supporters, with some thinking he is not the man to be leading the line for the club, while others think he is worth taking a punt on.
Here are some of the replies…
Sounds like it has the potential to be another Connor Washington if we did go for him.

Rangers currently sit 14th and are a longshot for the play-offs. Performances against Cardiff and Leeds this year have shown they have the potential to kick on with players such as Eberechi Eze and Bright Osayi-Samuel, it’s just about finding that consistency for Mark Warburton’s side.
