Queens Park Rangers have announced the capture of Kazenga LuaLua until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old former Newcastle United wide-man pens a loan deal from Brighton & Hove Albion until the end of the current campaign.

LuaLua has made only two appearances for the Seagulls after a successful spell in the side last season – Brighton missing out on automatic promotion on the final day of the campaign.

Manager Ian Holloway told qpr.co.uk: “I think he gives us something we’re missing. He’s got pace; he can beat his man; and he has experience of playing at this level.

“This is a good loan deal for us and a fantastic opportunity for me to work with someone I really rate highly.

“I think our fans will love him. He’s hungry; he wants to get better; and he wants to work hard.

“I think he can score goals as well as provide them, and that won’t half help our strikers.”

The Congolese winger will go into the squad to face Reading this Thursday in front of the Sky cameras.
