QPR found themselves involved in an eight-goal thriller yesterday, yet looking at the state of Twitter, the Hoops fans are far from thrilled.
After going eight games without a win Rangers managed to win two games on the bounce with a pair of well-earned clean sheets. Fingers crossed, then, that they will be able to keep bottom of the league Barnsley at bay? Far, far from it, unfortunately for travelling supporters.
An inspired Conor Chaplin was the difference between the two teams, with his hat-trick dragging the Tykes back further towards Wigan in 23rd.
Was that our worst performance of the season?
Yes
There's been worse
Luke Amos did grab a brace and Ilias Chair was also able to add a consolation goal, but three goals away from home is nowhere near enough to provide smiles on the faces of supporters after that performance.
For QPR, they are still just four points from the play-off zones, but a loss such as this might take its toll on the team considering they had only two wins before this.
Upon the full-time whistle at Oakwell, fans were pretty furious, as you can read below…

5 goals against bottom of the league is simply not good enough, must improve if we want to get anything from charlton pic.twitter.com/79LT4SZVVX

Well, this solidified any question after the two CS as to whether the team actually need more defense help. Alarmingly so now. Don’t fix what isn’t broken. Don’t know what Warburton was thinking today. Very poor loss. But onto the next! #QPR

Defenders. We need them!! Encouraged we scored 3 away from home but we’re crippling ourselves at the back

The Rs will now have a week off to gather before they face another struggling side in Charlton.
It is likely to be a welcomed break for Mark Warburton’s side before the busy Christmas period.
