Former Derby County and Bolton Wanderers manager Colin Todd has backed Marc Nygaard to be a success upon his return to the international stage.

Currently Nygaard`s managers at Randers FC in Denmark, Todd has compared the ex-QPR forward to Czech Republic forward Jan Koller and believes he can have a similar impact,

‘If he’s in the starting line-up I think a lot of people will be positively surprised.” Todd told bold.dk

“He has played in a number of big European Leagues, and I know for a fact that many players in the SAS Ligaen don’t like playing against him.”

“One may also take note of the success that the Czech squad has had with a player of same physical resemblance in Jan Koller up front.’

If Nygaard takes to the field against Hungary he will be the first player from Randers FC to represent Denmark in their relatively short history.

The World Cup Qualifying clash from the Ferenc Puskas Stadium in Hungary takes place at 6:45pm (British Time) and Hungary are without current Rangers midfielder Akos Buzsaky as he recovers from an ankle injury.
