Tony Harrington will take charge of Queens Park Rangers’ Championship clash with Ipswich Town tomorrow.

Harrington joined the National List of Referees in 2012 and has now since joined the Select Group 2. He has already taken charge of one Rangers game this season – the EFL Cup win over Swindon Town. Rangers needed penalties to overcome their League One opposition.

He will be assisted by Darren Blunden (Kent) and Geoff Russell (Northamptonshire) with fellow Select Group 2 official Charles Breakspear (Surrey) the man on fourth official duties.

Blunden ran the line in Rangers 2-1 EFL Cup defeat to Sunderland, a home draw with Reading (1-1) and a defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers (1-2), while Geoff Russell has yet to be involved in a Rangers game this season. Breakspear meanwhile was foruth official in the home draw with Birmingham City (1-1).

Thus far this campaign Harrington has dished out 88 yellow cards in 19 games – averaging 4.63 cards per game. He has also sent off two players this term – Fulham’s Michael Madl and Birmingham City’s Jonathan Spector.
