Report: QPR targeting player swap as part of transfer agreement with top-flight club

|

QPR will look to include a return to the club for Jordan Hugill as part of any deal that sees Eberechi Eze join West Ham, a report from West London Sport has claimed.

Hugill joined QPR on-loan from the Hammers back in the summer transfer window, and enjoyed an impressive season with the club, scoring 15 goals for Mark Warburton’s side.

Eze, who also enjoyed an outstanding campaign for Rangers, is thought to be a transfer target for the Hammers, and it seems QPR could look to use that to their advantage in their pursuit of Hugill.

According to the latest reports, the club could demand Hugill as part of any move that sees Eze – who they value at £20million move to the London Stadium – and believe that this could be their best chance of re-signing Hugill, who they would be happy to get either permanently or on-loan.

Would you be happy with this deal?

Yes

No

This is a move that would seem to make sense for all parties.

For West Ham, it would reduce the price they have to pay for Eze, who is also wanted by other clubs, while only losing a player who is not thought to have a future at the club in the shape of Hugill, who gets the regular first-team football he surely wants, with Eze getting his chance in the Premier League.

Admittedly, QPR are not going to want to lose a player as good as Eze, but it seems inevitable that will happen sooner rather than later anyway,

As a result, doing it in the form of a deal such as this at least gives them a head start in terms of bolstering their attacking options with Hugill, who they already know is more than capable of scoring goals for the club.
