Queens Park Rangers have today announced the signing of Manchester United youngster Sean Goss

The midfielder has penned a three-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee – believed to be in the region of £500k with sell on incentives for the Premier League club.

Announcing his signature prior to the 1-2 home defeat with Burton Albion, manager Ian Holloway waxed lyrical on the young midfielder, who can also play full-back.

He told QPR.co.uk that he was convinced to sign Goss by virtue of that versatility.

‘He`s a ball playing midfielder – and what I want long-term is players in midfield with a range of passing, who can offer us something a bit different.

‘That`s Gossy – that`s what he`s all about. He has a different range of passing to the other midfielders we`ve got in the squad.

‘He`s got great versatility too – and I firmly believe he will develop into a top player with QPR, working alongside the other players we`ve got here.’

Goss was not available for selection in today’s defeat but could feature against Newcastle United during the week.
