Thursday morning saw the release of the Championship fixtures for the season of 2018/19 and Queens Park Rangers fans discovered in what order new gaffer Steve McClaren would face his opposition managers in the year ahead.
McClaren’s Reign At Loftus Road Begins With Preston North End
Opening the season at Deepdale as we face Preston North End on Saturday, August 4, every fan will have their own standout picks when it comes to the more tasty games ahead for the club and the presumed more difficult or easier spells in the campaign, and as fans will know, we bring the year to a close against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday, May 5 with a trip to Hillsborough.
With obvious squad issues to still be dealt with as McClaren continues to try to trim the first-team squad, reduce the wage bill but provide the necessary experience to help further develop the youngsters’ former gaffer Ian Holloway bloodied, it seems that fans are in confident mood when it comes to the year ahead.
Anybody fancy promotion at Hillsborough again? Come on you R's!

Whether the season will, in fact, go that well and those dreams will be achieved for the fans is entirely open for debate, but at least the optimism is building now. Plenty of others had their own reactions to the spread we’ve been given.
November could be a nightmare also can we every play Millwall in daylight
