Player Profile: Despite Burton Albion strengthening heavily in the transfer market this summer, management at The Brewers are quietly excited at the prospect of youngster Marcus Harness breaking into the first team. The talented youth product first caught the eye of Burton staff and fans alike with an eye-catching cameo substitute appearance in a pre-season friendly against Derby County, nutmegging an opposition player in the process, whilst still only 15 years old.

Harness joined the club`s academy following a successful trial period and his progress has been closely monitored by the first team coaching staff culminating in a first team debut towards the end of last season and the reward of a two-year professional contract during the summer. The 20-year-old has a lot to do to make it in the professional game but to be rated so highly at such a young age can only bode well for the future of his career.
