News: QPR man brands one spell as “Unacceptable” in the Rs latest capitulation

|

Mark Warburton branded the last ten minutes of Wednesday’s match as “unacceptable” as we shipped three goals to end up being hammered by Nottingham Forest.

Lee Wallace was sent off in the 50th minute, but we held on and competed until a final ten minutes of madness saw us concede three unanswered goals and we now find ourselves 16th in the table six points off the play-off spots.

Forest meanwhile look like a team on the rise, and I would be stunned if they are not at least in the top six by the end of the season.

Warburton, though, would not blame the players for the capitulation and insisted that we win and lose as a team, but he was furious that we simply did not win headers, tackles, and gave the ball away too cheaply.

This awful run we find ourselves on continues, and we now face a Derby County team boosted by the arrival of Wayne Rooney.

Wallace’s red card did not affect us too badly until the end of the match, and we can take positives from the way we competed, but overall, it was a shocking result.

Was this our worst performance of the season?

Yes, we were dreadful

No, we were bad but have played worse this year

We must improve, or the positive early season form will be forgotten about, and Warburton could find his job under threat.
