Former Queens Park Rangers loanee Tom Heaton has penned a deal with Championship rivals Cardiff City.

The former R’s stopper penned a three month loan deal during the early stages of last season, featuring in Carling Cup games against Accrington Stanley and Chelsea.

Despite showing great competence in games and claiming he was hopeful of a Rangers return, a bid wasn’t forthcoming and the out-of-contract ‘keeper was allowed to move to Cardiff.

Rangers meanwhile picked up Paddy Kenny to vie with Radek Cerny – who were joint recepients of the golden glove in 2008/09.

Should Rangers have gone for Tom? – Let us know!
