It’s coming to the end of the decade, and that means that plenty of people are putting together their ‘best of the decade’ lists.
And wanting to get in the trend, Queens Park Rangers are doing something similar, putting together their ‘#QPRXI Of The Decade’. QPR had an incredibly eventful decade, promoted not just once, but twice, with two relegations added in there as well, and with plenty of turnover when it comes to players coming in and out, it’s not as if it’s going to be easy to narrow it down to just one player to stand out above the rest.
And it’s proving to be incredibly hard to put the team together, even though we’ve only just started on the goalkeepers. The fans seem relatively split on the matter, with three names cropping up above the rest of Twitter; Paddy Kenny, Julio Cesar and Alex Smithies.
Plenty of good reasons were thrown around as to why they should be included, so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see who eventually gets the nod between the sticks.
Julio Cesar- best keeper I’ve ever seen at QPR

He kept 23 clean sheets the season @QPR won The Championship League Title! No doubt whatsoever in my mind, can only be…….. No 1 PADDY KENNY! 🔵⚪️🔵
… he absolutely was having a party👊 pic.twitter.com/Po9cr0mTGM

Julio Cesar. Ok. Just for the money, but he was a good keeper on a very bad managed team.

Great point . Outstanding season

Paddy Kenny no competition here.

Smithies. Single-handedly kept us up. Kenny was fantastic in his first season, but had a class defence in front of him and was shaky in the Prem.

keeping us from getting relegated from the Championship is enough of an achievement

Where will QPR finish this season?
Promoted
Top 6

Should be interesting to see how the whole team shapes up.
