“Could only happen at QPR”- These QPR fans not sure what to say after rather strange news

|

I’m not quite sure what to make of all this.

One hand, it’s great to see a player rewarded for what he did. But at the same time, the fact that he’s no longer on the team, it just doesn’t quite feel the same does it? Should we be happy, or annoyed that we won’t be reaping any of the rewards from his talent anymore? I can’t make my mind up.

It was announced today that Bristol City frontman Nahki Wells had been awarded the SkyBet Championship player of the month award, with Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi taking home the award for manager of the month. It was a pretty bumper month for the 29-year-old, as he scored five goals and chipped in with another assist, form which probably played a big part in why Bristol City wanted him so much.

So when the news came through that Wells had received the award, the response was a pretty varied one as the fans couldn’t really work out what to make of it.

Will Hugill be able to replace the goals that Wells took with him?

Yes

No

All I’m saying is that it’s a good thing we played Bristol City last week rather than this week, because him coming back after winning the award would have only added to the awkwardness.
