Daniel Agger has urged Liverpool to vounce back following their recent defeat to Fulham.

The Danish central defender featured at Craven Cottage as Clint Dempsey’s late strike secured all three points for the Whites.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo the 26-year-old has urged his team-mates to make amends for the disappointing defeat.

He said: ‘After the Fulham game it was the same as every time we lose – it was quiet and people were upset.

‘Luckily, there is always a game next week and a chance to bounce back – and that`s something we have to do.’

Jay Spearing will be suspended following his dismissal in the Fulham encounter as the Reds currently lie five points adrift of the top four.

The 2005 Uefa Champions League Winners haven’t qualified for the tournament since 2009, failing to qualify for any kind of European competition last term.

Agger continued: ‘Everybody who has experienced it knows it is the biggest tournament and wants to be in it. That`s definitely the target.’

This will be the first time that Rangers have visited Anfield since 1995 when a Neil Ruddock goal separated the two teams.
