Neil Warnock has poured scorn on recent reports linking Alejandro Faurlín with a move away from the club.

The Argentinean midfielder has put in a string of stunning displays at the heart of the QPR midfield this season, and certainly has been a stand-out player in a positive start for the newly-promoted club.

Unhelpful reports have begun to surface in recent weeks outlining interested clubs both in England and in Europe with the 25-year-old’s agent, Lucas Cominelli, highlighting this fact.

‘I’m not encouraging calls because Ali is very happy at QPR,’ he said.

‘But when the phone rings and there are two Premiership teams and one from Serie A expressing their admiration, it’s a testimony to the way Ali has started in the top flight.’

The Serie A club was reportedly the club Faurlín snubbed in deciding to come to Loftus Road, Inter Milan. However Napoli have now emerged as an interested party for the midfield maestro.

Warnock told the Fulham and Hammersmith Chronicle that the worth of the player means that he will be the last person that Rangers look to sell – comparing the deal to Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson.

‘If say, Jordan Henderson is worth what Liverpool paid for him then Ali’s got to be worth more than that.

‘I said when we gave him an extended deal last year to 2014, he was the best signing I made at QPR, and he would be the very last to leave.’

Previously Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the talented Argentine who played a key role in QPR’s promotion back to the top flight.
