4 Tackles, 1 Key Pass & 88 Touches Sees QPR Man Take MotM From Middlesbrough Shambles

|

It was another bad day for Queens Park Rangers as we made the trip to the Riverside Stadium to face off against promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon.

With a run of successive defeats seeing pressure mount on manager Steve McClaren, we couldn’t draw a line under those loses as the hosts took a reasonably comfortable 2-0 victory on the day and their advantage came inside of the opening 32 minutes.

In what was, in some ways, a balanced game on a statistics front, website Whoscored acknowledged that when it counted, Boro were sharper in attack and that was our major downfall really.

Australian international Mass Luongo took their MotM award with a rating of 7.02 and he was on the only player to score a seven-plus rating.

To complete the top five on the day, he was followed by Osayi Bright Samuel (6.83), Jake Bidwell (6.46), Pawel Wszolek (6.45) and Ebere Eze (6.33).

Nine points to the drop zone now and it continues to read five straight defeats in the short form guide.
