13 Touches Sees QPR Man Take MotM After Disappointing Blackburn Defeat

|

With caretaker gaffer John Eustace picking up his first win as we hammered Swansea City in the last match, he’d have been dearly hoping that Good Friday proved to be just that as we faced Blackburn Rovers at Loftus Road.

Sadly it wasn’t to be and a first half penalty sent advantage their way, and a goal seconds after the halftime restart proved to be enough to send all three points their way, and consign us to yet another defeat.

Matt Smith had a decent impact as a substitute though and he found our consolation on the day in stoppage-time.

Statistics website Whoscored had mixed player ratings after that one, but despite only mustering 13 touches following his introduction in the final 30 minutes, 29-year-old Smith took Man of the Match with a score of 7.84.

Bright Osayi-Samuel took second spot with 7.38, and the top five on the day were finished by Ryan Manning (6.91), goalkeeper Joe Lumley (6.88) and Joel Lynch (6.72).

Back to the drawing board.
