Eustace Praises QPR’s Attitude But Slams Poor Decision Making After Defeat

|

With caretaker manager John Eustace picking up his first win in the unexpected 4-0 hammering of Swansea City in Queens Park Rangers’ last game, there was renewed confidence we could make a Good Friday even better as we faced Blackburn Rovers at Loftus Road earlier this afternoon.

It sadly wasn’t going to be back to back victories though as a first half penalty gave the visitors the advantage and Bradley Dack did what he does and made it 2-0 in the 46th minute. The second goal probably killed whatever spirit we had coming out of the break.

There are further concerns for Jordan Cousins who was stretchered off in the second period with a serious looking injury but there will be frustrations from the game as we had the greater efforts at goal in total, yet the tested the keeper far more.

Matt Smith’s stoppage-time consolation was nothing more than that.

Speaking to the BBC following the final whistle, Eustace said of the game.

“I’m disappointed with the performance but the attitude of the lads was fantastic. They kept going. The most disappointing thing was the goals we conceded – poor decision-making. We also created a lot of chances and it’s disappointing we didn’t take them. We’ve made two really poor decisions for the goals and started the second half so sloppily. But the attitude of the boys was good, which it is every week.”
