Iain Williamson from Berkshire will referee Rangers as they take on table topping Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sky.

Mr Williamson was promoted to the football league`s referee`s list in 2002, and took charge of Rangers that very season, as the R`s put four past relegation candidates Cheltenham Town.

There was a shock on the cards in W12 as Martin Devaney handed the Robins the lead inside five minutes. Kevin Gallen equalised shortly before half time and the and Michael Duff put through his own net to hand the Rangers a deserved half time lead.

After the break Lee Cook signed off in style after a successful loan spell from Watford, placing home from the left hand side of the area before Paul Furlong rounded off the scoring with the fourth.

The following season he presided over Rangers comfortable win in the LDV Vans trophy. Kidderminster Harriers were the side that went down 2-0 in W12, courtesy of goals from Richard Pacquette and Arthur Gnohere.

Later on that season Mr Williamson oversaw Rangers untimely demise away at Chesterfield. The R`s looked second best the entire encounter with some woeful defending contributing to their heavy downfall.

Tony Thorpe had given the R`s the lead only for Jamie McMaster and soon to be QPR player Ian Evatt to turn the game on its head. Captain Steve Palmer struck from distance to level the game for Rangers only for Glynn Hurst and Mark Hudson to finish the R`s off and win the game at Saltergate.

Fast-forward then to August 2006 and Gary Waddock`s QPR hosted Championship new boys Southend United under the watchful eye of Mr Williamson. Rangers sewed up the fixture in the first period courtesy of goals from Martin Rowlands and new signing Nick Ward.

Taking charge of four Rangers games Mr Williamson has overseen the R`s score ten goals and concede five, while dishing out 13 yellow cards.

So far this season in 13 games the official has handed out 61 yellows and four reds, giving him a card average per game of 5.00.
