Vital QPR assesses this weekend’s opponents – Rotherham United

THE LATEST

‘If not very nearly dead; then very actually dead’

Stephen Fry’s words as General Melchitt in Blackadder Goes Forth have never been more apt than in Rotherham’s current situation. The Millers find themselves rock-bottom of the Championship with 17 points, fully 23 points from fourth bottom.

The writing is on the wall and while they initially performed very well to get into the Championship under Steve Evans, and be kept there by an experienced pair of hands in Neil Warnock; the less than inspiring choice of Alan Stubbs started the tail-spin from which they did not recover.

That being said, Rangers fell foul of Paul Warne up at the New York Stadium and the Millers have the unique chance to secure a double this campaign. This is almost certainly set up for Rangers to be the bookies’ dream this weekend.
