Neil Warnock hailed Jamie Mackie as a stand-out performer as he revelled in the signature of the ex-Pilgrims forward.
The R’s boss explained that it was his connections in the south-west along with the attributes of the forward that helped seal the deal.
‘I’m really pleased to get him in,’ Warnock told QPR.co.uk
‘Obviously with my connections down there, he’s a player I’ve seen, heard and read a lot about.
‘He was a stand-out striker for them this season.
‘He’s full of enthusiasm and when I first met him there was nothing else on his mind other than playing for QPR.’
Mackie – who has also featured for Exeter City and MK Dons – has been the top scorer for Plymouth Argyle for each of the last two seasons.
Neil Warnock was notorious for signing forwards while with Sheffield United in their bid for promotion – R’s fans can undoubtedly expect more fire power over the coming weeks.
