Armand Traore has become the latest QPR player to sign a new contract with the club. The 24-year-old has signed a two year deal which will expire in the summer of 2016.

The Senegalese international has seen a turnaround of fortunes at Loftus Road, a player very much out of favour following the arrival of Harry Redknapp but who worked hard to become an important figure in the Rs promotion push last campaign.

Traore expressed his joy at extending his stay at Loftus Road telling qpr.co.uk : “I am so happy to have my future sorted out.”

“I wanted to stay at QPR and now this is done I can fully concentrate on the challenge that lies ahead.”

“I am fully focused on the start of the Premier League season – I`m really looking forward to it.”

Traore will be hoping to cement down a regular starting spot in the Premier League having featured in numerous positions for Redknapp`s side in the Championship. He finally added: I`m 24 now – it`s time to wake up and do something serious.”
