David Coote from West Yorkshire presides over Saturday’s clash between Queens Park Rangers and Preston North End.

Mr Coote takes charge of his third QPR game in total – his second of the season. Rangers don’t have the best of luck when he`s officiating – both fixtures with his involvement ended in defeat.

Thus far this season he has dished out 106 yellow cards in 30 matches – giving him an average of 3.53 cards per game. He has also handed out five red cards this term – three of which were in the Championship.

Against Preston North End he will be assisted by Nick Hopton (Derbyshire) and David Avent (Northamptonshire) with fellow Select Group 2 official Jeremy Simpson (Lancashire) the fourth official for the day.

Mr Hopton has been involved in two Rangers games this season – a defeat up at Huddersfield Town (1-2) and a victory over Reading at the Madejski (1-0). Mr Avent meanwhile has assisted in a defeats up at Barnsley (2-3) and Rotherham United (0-1), and draws with 1-1 draws against Reading (H) and Newcastle United (A).

Fourth official Mr Simpson took charge of that aforementioned Rotherham United game.
