Michael Oliver will take charge of Queens Park Rangers final game of the season against Leicester City.

Mr Oliver from Northumberland is the son of former official Clive Oliver and states his father was the inspiration behind making the decision to become a referee.

At the age of 14 the young official took up refereeing and eight years later at the age of 22 he had made the national list of officials.

He is the youngest official to referee both in the top flight and also at Wembley, having been promoted to the select list of officials in 2010.

This weekend he will be assisted by Mr Lee Betts and Mr Scott Ledger, with the fourth official Mr Stephen Martin.

Thus far this campaign Mr Oliver has officiated 37 games, dishing out 134 yellows and six reds – giving him an average of 3.78 cards per game.
