HARRY Redknapp has responded to recent transfer rumours linking players with Queens Park Rangers

Speaking at today’s (Friday) press conference the QPR boss has confirmed a level of interest in West Ham United forward Modibo Maiga but has refuted media speculation that he has turned him away, or indeed the forward has refused a move.

Redknapp confirmed that there had been no official contact with West Ham United and boss Sam Allardyce regards to a deal.

The QPR manager confirmed that the club are interested in Algerian forward Ishak Belfodil of Inter Milan. He stated that Phil Beard and Tony Fernandes were attempting to secure the deal.

Regarding the outgoings, Harry was keen to stress that Samba Diakité is back in the picture at Loftus Road and will be in the squad to face Huddersfield Town this weekend.

The midfielder has been strongly linked with Watford, but for the time being, Redknapp is retaining the Malian.
