Chris Ramsey believes that the players are still up for the fight despite an appalling display at Crystal Palace

Rangers were blown away in a dismal opening period with goals from Wilfried Zaha, James McArthur and Joel Ward seeing off the beleaguered visitors.

While Ramsey identified individual defensive errors as the reason for defeat, he was still adamant that the players are still up for the fight: ‘We’ll go for it as best we can,’ he told qpr.co.uk

‘The players are disappointed. They’re still unified in what we’re trying to do and all we can do is keep fighting.

‘The only thing we can do is go back to the drawing board, there’s nothing else we can do.’

He added: ‘I know there are Rangers fans out there whose weekend will have been spoilt by this result. They live, die and breath football every weekend, and that’s what hurts me the most.’

Ramsey will now have to pick his side up for what is shaping up to be a crucial encounter against Everton next Sunday.
