Queens Park Rangers have confirmed the appointment of Chris Ramsey as Head Coach until the end of the season

Rumoured for the last couple of days, Rangers today confirmed that Ramsey will now remain in charge and attempt to save the Rs from relegation.

The current coaching staff – Kevin Bond and Kevin Hitchcock – will work alongside Ramsey for the remainder of the season.

He spoke of his delight to QPR.co.uk: ‘This is a great privilege and an honour for me. I am excited about leading the club between now and the end of the season.

“I believe in this group of players, the staff, and everyone working at the club.

“I`d like to thank the QPR supporters for their support so far and with their backing, I am confident that we can build on Tuesday`s win at Sunderland and start to climb the table.’

Ramsey oversaw Rangers first victory away from Loftus Road since the Playoff Final – defeating Sunderland on Tuesday night.

While he has a week off next week – his first challenge as Head Coach will be the trip to Hull City a week tomorrow.
