QPR To Break Ground On Warren Farm Next Month

|

It’s been reported this week that Queens Park Rangers are hoping to break ground on our new Warren Farm training centre as early as next month (May).

With discussions ongoing surrounding our potential new stadium and the Linford Christie ground, a new training centre has been on the cards for several years now but come May we are hoping to begin construction as we look to move on from sharing the facilities at the Imperial College Sports Ground.

Our original hope was that the ground would be ready for the beginning of the 2013/14 campaign but planning permission delays and other obstacles obviously got in the way of that but the Standard reported on Tuesday that residents in the Hanwell area have now been informed work should begin in May on the £30million base.

Hopefully this now takes place and after our struggles and off pitch issues in recent years, we can start looking properly towards the future and planning properly now.
