Queens Park Rangers are closing in on the signature of Leicester City forward DJ Campbell according to reports today.
Sky Sports suggest that Campbell could be the man to end Rangers goalscoring woes, with Nigel Pearson no longer considering him part of his plans at the Walkers Stadium.
The same news outlet reported a few months ago that Rangers were chasing the former Birmingham City and Brentford striker, but since then a deal has not come to fruition.
Interest from Blackpool came and went with Ian Holloway unsure about the wage demands of the Foxes front-man.
Campbell, a self-professed QPR fan, has found the going tough at Leicester City after re-uniting with former Brentford boss Martin Allen.
The 27-year-old striker has made 37 appearances for Leicester, scoring four goals.
