QPR Man Takes A Deserved MotM From Villa Clash Based On Individual Showing

|

Queens Park Rangers unexpected potential Play-Off battle in the Championship campaign of 2018/19 continued quite nicely on New Year’s Day as we took a point from fellow hopefuls Aston Villa.

Although the hosts at Villa Park opened the scoring, we responded nicely to falling behind and efforts from Luke Freeman and Ebere Eze almost won us all three points until they levelled the scores up themselves.

With some strong performances on the day, given his overall involvement in the match, it’s probably no surprise to see Luke Freeman take statistics website Whoscored’s Man of the Match with a rating of 7.97 from the day.

Completing the top five best performers from the 90 minutes were Pawel Wszolek (7.91), Eze (7.15), Darnell Furlong (7.03) and Nahki Wells (6.86).

Whilst Villa dominated the telling statistics from the match, our efforts to come from behind and the fact we matched them on proper chances doesn’t make the point undeserved in any way in my eyes.

Onto the next one now.
