RANGERS boss Paulo Sousa continued his unbeaten start in W12 by dispatching of run-away league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The R`s boss oversaw Rangers perform admirably against the team at the summit of the Championship and at times dominate proceedings.

Sousa named Heidar Helguson in the starting line-up as he continued with his use of the successful diamond formation. The Bolton Wanderers loanee sat duo behind duo Dexter Blackstock and Patrick Agyemang, while Gavin Mahon played the holding role with Martin Rowlands and Hogan Ephraim playing just infront.

Wolves were unbeaten in W12 since 1984 and they named former QPR loanee Michael Mancienne in their side alongside former Leicester defender Richard Stearman. Potent duo Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Chris Iwelumo spearheaded the leader`s attack.

The goal came in the 63rd minute as captain marvel Martin Rowlands, drifted into space outside the area before unleashing a rasping, dipping drive beyond the reach of Welsh international stopper Wayne Hennessey.

Rangers were good value for their win after dominating vast periods of the encounter, as their shortcomings in front of goal in the first period could of, but crucially didn`t become a talking point.

Wolves have been a surprise package this season at the top of the Championship, and on this assessment they will do well to keep their status at the summit, as a fairly ordinary side failed to use their extra-ordinary strike-force to their advantage.
