Three months ago, Rangers paid Derby County £300,000 for goalkeeper Lee Camp. During his third spell at Loftus Road (two previous loan deals) fans still need convincing the transfer was the right one for both parties.

A few days ago, the 23-year-old six-foot shot stopper gave a question and answer session to a well-known newspaper. To find out more, read on.

The first team you ever played for?

‘A local team in Derby called Mickleover Jubilee. I was about 10.’

First time you got sent off?

‘It was in an Under-19’s game between Derby and Forest. I called the referee a cheat! It was a fair cop that one.’

First female celebrity you fancied?

‘Jennifer Aniston when she was in Friends.’

Last promising young player you saw?

‘Lewis King, a young keeper at Derby. He’s about 14 or 15 now, and I’m expecting big things from him.’

Last time you had a really good laugh?

‘It was a few weeks ago when I met up with my old Derby room-mate Tommy Smith and we watched Mike Bassett: England Manager. We’ve seen it a few times, a great film.’

First weekly wage you ever had?

‘£75, when I signed on to YTS forms at Derby.’

First time you thought you’d make it as footballer?

‘When I was 15 and I was offered scholarship forms by Derby. That was the first time I thought I had the smallest chance of making it.’

Last book you read?

‘Chris Moyles’ latest book. It was quite good and pretty funny. He seems like an honest guy.’

First car ever bought?

‘A Peugeot 206 a few years ago. I’ve had a couple more since then though!’

Last great film you saw?

‘I enjoyed Superbad, which I saw recently. I’m into my comedies.’

Your targets for the rest of the season?

‘The top target is to get QPR into the Premier League. We haven’t started well, but the new owners seem confident and you have to believe in it.’
