Following today’s clash between Sheffield United and Queens Park Rangers, here are the instant reactions from both managers.

Sheffield United hosted Queens Park Rangers at Bramall Lane for a 7.45pm kick off on Tuesday February 20, with the hosts taking a two one victory on the day.

Sheffield United opened the scoring through Richard Stearman in the 27th minute and five minutes after the half time break John Lundstram doubled their advantage.

QPR responded and found the net with just under 30 minutes to go through Luke Freeman but they couldn’t find a second to take anything from the affair.

Speaking to the BBC’s cameras a short time after match day referee Oliver Langford blew the final whistle, Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder explained.

‘I thought we were outstanding. When we went forward we were great and we’ve beaten a decent side. The last 20-15 minutes wasn’t out greatest performances but if you have to see it out you have to see it out and we did enough in the first 60 minutes. We were the dominant side and I think it’s a big win for us tonight.’

Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway in his comparative interview explained.

‘We have got to stop making mistakes. We started well and caused them problems but unfortunately we are not seeing it through. I’ll take the performance, spirit and fight-back all day long. I don’t want to criticise my lads as they kept going and had other chances. It is tough at the minute but the young lads have got to learn about being away from home and what it is all about. I think we are getting closer to what I want.’
