31-year-old Owen Hargreaves is training with the QPR first team, following his release from Manchester City at the end of last season. The former Bayern Munich, Manchester United and City midfielder has been dogged with injury in recent years and is looking to retain his fitness with Mark Hughes` side.
The Rs manager told www.qpr.co.uk: ‘Owen is training with the group. There is no obligation for either party. He is keen to retain his fitness and we are more than happy to help him by allowing him to train with us and use our facility at Harlington`.
It remains to be seen whether anything will arise from this initial agreement, but for now Hargreaves will utilise the improved facilities and playing squad at QPR.
