Former Clubs: Stoke City, Nottingham Forest

Appearances (Goals): 236 (46)

Mansfield-born Kris Commons will be determined to put an end to QPR`s scintillating start to the season, and Rangers will have to be at their best to stop the talented midfielder. A unique talent with the ability to change games with a single pass or goal, Commons must be halted in his attempt to secure Derby 3 points.

Commons started his footballing career at Stoke City, making his debut in 2001. Shortly after his first team debut, he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and was ruled out for a year. Kris managed to bounce back and went on to make 46 appearances in all competitions for the club. His good form and promise led to him moving to Nottingham Forest in a £300 000 deal in 2004.

Commons` first goal for Forest was in fact scored against the Rs in a 3-0 win in the FA Cup. Kris went on to make over 100 appearances for the club and was instrumental in their promotion back to the English second tier. In 2008 Commons made a shock move to Forest`s fierce rivals Derby County joining them on a free transfer.

The Scotsman has already made over 50 appearances for The Rams. His 2009/2010 season was hampered by hamstring troubles, but when fit and available he showed how important he is to the Derby side. Commons has qualified to play international football for Scotland and has already made a handful of appearances for the Tartan Army.
